An Dúlamán Irish Maritime Gin is the first gin to be distilled in Co. Donegal. Dúlamán is the name of an Irish folk song that tells the story of a conversation between two seaweed gatherers. The name "Santa Ana" comes from La Duquesa Santa Ana, an impressive Andalusian ship that was lost off Loughros Mor, Ardara, when Philip II attempted to invade England in 1588. Five locally harvested seaweed varieties and six other botanicals form the basis of this gin. The gin is matured in Rioja wine barrels, from the home region of Santa Ana's commander, and takes on a beautiful rose gold hue and a slight sweetness that complements the rich umami notes of An Dúlamán Gin. After ageing, Santa Ana is bottled at an Armada strength of 57% vol. (automated translation)
