Havana Club Añejo Especial is a new brown rum that combines the light taste of white, young rum with the intense aroma of brown, older rum.
The rum master 'maestro ronero' selects barrels of younger and older rums and then finds the final balancing blend.
This rum gains its intensity from the second aging in young, former whiskey casks.
Today it is a privilege for demanding connoisseurs of the finest rum quality. Havana Club Añejo Especial, like the other Havana Club qualities, stands for Cuban joie de vivre and is the liquid taste of Cuba.
In 1878, the Havana Club brand appeared on the scene of history, and within a generation it became the epitome of Cuban distilling.

Im Duft dem weißen 3 Anos überraschend ähnlich, aber einiges würziger. Am Gaumen süß, sehr weich und leicht. Ich denke, seine Bestimmung ist das Cuba Libre. Anspruchslos würde ich ihn dennoch nicht nennen. Ich finde ihn gut.

Geeignet zum Pur trinken, on the Rocks oder im Cocktail....ganz wie man mag.
Farbe Mahagoni-hell, geschmacklich relativ weich, fruchtig und mild-süßlich.

Ein ordentlicher Rum in der Preislage bis ca 15 Euro, aber auch nicht mehr. Hier gibt es interessantere Rumsorten, ebenfalls mit der Bezeichnung Anejo (aged Rums), die mit mehr Körper und Geschmacksnuancen im Rum aufwarten.
