Wray & Nephew's Overproof Rum is a white rum with beautiful fruity notes and a full-bodied taste, which has become the world's best-selling Overproof Rum and has been awarded 5 stars out of a possible 5 in professional circles. It has a more than convincing aroma, which can only be created by the most refined production. His nickname is "Jamaican Wine".
Wray & Nephew White Overproof is therefore a world class rum with a very good price-performance ratio.
Tasting notes:
Very full-bodied in taste, very nice fruity aromas and also interesting for cocktails with the 63% vol.
Ungereifter Jamaica Overproof rum ist wirklich nur was für Kenner. Nachdem ich nun den Hampden Rum Fire (der alle aus dem Weg räumt) und auch den Velvet, welchen ich sogar eine Spur besser finde geleert habe, musste nun auch der Wray&Nephew her. Im Vergleich zu den Hampden Vertretern ist der Wray&Nephew mit etwas weniger Esternoten ausgestattet, dennoch besitzt er ebenfalls eine unglaubliche Fülle an Frucht. Pur im Glas ist der Duft überwältigend. Früchte aller Art, erinnerte mich sogar etwas an Williams Christ Brand ^^ Typische Jamaica Klebstoffnoten, Lack und grüne Oliven. All das lässt sich in diesem Destillat finden. Was Zuckerrohr aus Pot Still Destillation alles Preisgeben kann ist erstaunlich. Jamaica Rums sind und bleiben etwas ganz besonderes, das spricht sich herum und deshalb ziehen die Preise leider immer mehr an. Trotz allem ist der Wray&Nephew noch jeden Cent wert, da er auch sehr sparsam eingesetzt eine große Fülle an Aromen freigibt!
