The Demerara distillery in Guyana, located on the tropical north coast of South America, has been processing sugar cane since 1670.
The premium brand EL DORADO has become a byword for high-quality rum worldwide.
The blended rums from El Dorado are blended from different vintages or batches as well as from different stills.
A combination of Enmore and Diamond Coffey stills, the Port Mourant Double Wooden Pot Still and the Versailles Single Wooden Pot Still.
A 15 year aging in selected oak barrels gives this blend its spicy-fruity character.
The 15-year-old offered here has been awarded as the "Best Rum in the World" for the fourth time in a row!

Tasting notes:
Colour: Amber.
Nose: spicy, dark chocolate, candied oranges, almonds, notes of pepper, vanilla.

Für gewöhnlich haben die meisten Rums mit mehr als 40% Alkohol einen deutlich alkoholischen Geschmack, brennen bereits während oder nach dem Schlucken auf Zunge und im Rachen. Dies ist der erste Rum mit über 40%, der nicht nur ausgesprochen gut schmeckt, sondern auch den höheren Alkoholanteil nicht spüren lässt. DEN werde ich mir unter Garantie nochmal nachkaufen!

sehr guter Rum, Geruch etwa wie Rumkugeln, Geschmack anfangs leichte Süsse später kommt ein starker Holzcharakter leicht bitter und trocken, Empfehlenswert für Rumtrinker ,die nicht so auf Süsse stehen oder Wiskeytrinker den die Fasslagerung ist deutlich wahrnehmbar
Mir gefällt der 12 jährige besser, da süsser und nicht so holzig im Abgang.

Der 12 Jährige El Dorado ist ein super Rum und hat ein super Preis Leistungs Verhältnis.
Der 15 Jährige ist noch etwas besser, aber wesentlich teurer.
Verglichen mit anderen Rum Sorten ist der Preis ok, verglichen mit dem 12 Jährigen El Dorado ist er zu teuer.
