Rum from Panama
In earlier times Panama was an important trading centre on the sea route between South America and Spain.
So it is obvious why the pirate Sir Morgan occupied Panama with an army of almost 2000 men. On the same day a large-scale fire destroyed large parts of the city and a large part of the booty. The city centre was rebuilt afterwards.
Nowadays sugar cane is grown mainly for national rum production. On EXPERT24 you will find Contadora Rum, Don Pancho, Mezan, Plantation Rum, Ron Abuelo and many more rum.
