The Suntory Hakushu 12 Years Old Whisky is a Japanese single malt whisky from the house of Suntory.
The name Hakushu means "white sandbank" and refers to the rich mineral deposit in the river of the island of Honshu.
This river leads to the Suntory distillery and ensures the purity of the bottlings. This Suntory whisky is distilled in stills over an open fire.

Braucht etwas Zeit und Luft im Glas. Dann kommen seine wunderbar floralen Duftkomponenten nach Zitronengras und Basilikum schön zur Geltung. Dieser Single ist ein sehr sanfter, ja feminin wirkender Whisky mit ausgeprägt floraler Duftigkeit, leicht und spielerisch. Duft und Geschmack des rauchigen Bourbon-Fasses sind zwar anfänglich spürbar, werden aber schnell abgemildert, sobald der Whisky im Glas ist und mit Luft in Kontakt kommt. Der HAKUSHU 12yo dürfte auch Frauen ansprechen. Mild aber sehr komplex ist er nichts Geringeres als ein Traum-Whisky.
