Islay Whisky Single Malts
The green-violet heather-covered hills characterize the landscape of Islay. Whisky production is particularly productive in the south and west, where the soil is most fertile. World-famous companies such as Ardbeg, Bowmore, Bruichladdich, Bunnahabhain, Caol Ila and Lagavulin are located here and produce the world famous Islay Whisky. In terms of taste, the single malts from the southern distilleries (Ardbeg, Laphroaig, Lagavulin) can be distinguished from the northern ones (Bunnahabhain, Bruichladdich, Caol Ila). In the south, the malt is mainly dried with peat and the highly peaty water is used for the entire production process. This results in intensive whiskies that taste of peat, smoke and sea salt. In contrast, the north produces milder whiskies that are not as heavy and taste of moss and nuts. Let our Islay whiskies take you on a sweet salty spicy taste journey that will intoxicate your senses and convince every whisky connoisseur and non-connoisseur.
